Textron Aviation Opens New Line Maintenance Station At London Biggin Hill Airport
Textron Aviation recently announced a new line maintenance station at the London Biggin Hill Airport, which will expand the company’s service offerings for Cessna Citation, Hawker, and Beechcraft King Air owners in Europe. Textron made the announcement at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE 2018) in Geneva. The station is already open and ready to serve customers.
“In 2012, we committed to the European market to grow our service and support in the region. And five years later, we’ve delivered on that commitment,” said Kriya Shortt, senior vice president of customer service for Textron Aviation, in a news release. “Our expansion efforts in Europe have been driven by feedback from our customers within the region. We have made great strides to increase accessibility to factory-direct service and support, as well as to parts inventory through the parts distribution center in Düsseldorf. The combination of these investments is yielding significant rewards for Textron Aviation customers in Europe.”
Part Of A Larger Expansion
Textron Aviation has been working since 2012 to widen its reach in Europe. The company now has an employee base of over 400 people in Europe who are working across six line maintenance stations. Textron Aviation also has a facility in Düsseldorf, Germany, that serves as its European Parts Distribution Center with an inventory of over 225,000 parts. The location of the facility allows the company to offer fast delivery for customers all over Europe.
“With flight activity continuing to increase in Europe, we are poised to support our customers operating throughout the region,” said Shortt. “And as we continue to see the market improve, we are committed to further strengthening our robust support network in Europe and around the world.”
