Airbus To Showcase Entire Product Range At LIMA 2019
When the 2019 version of the LIMA (Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition) rolls around March 26 in Malaysia, Airbus says it will be the largest international exhibitor in attendance. The commercial jet, military aircraft, and helicopter manufacturer says it will have its entire range of commercial, defense, and space products and services on hand.
When In Malaysia
Held biennially since 1991, LIMA 2019 runs through March 30 at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre in Langkawi, Kedah. The exhibition is billed as one of the most influential within the maritime and aerospace industries and the largest of its kind in the Asia Pacific region.
Airbus’ static display will include an A320neo owned by AirAsia, a Malaysian low-cost carrier that Airbus says is its largest single-aisle aircraft customer. Airbus’ display will also include the RMAF (Royal Malaysian Air Force) A400M and CN235 military aircraft and H145, H225M, AS555SN Fennec, and AS365 Dauphin helicopters. Airbus’ exhibition stand (#B537), meanwhile, will include scale models of its new A330neo wide-body commercial jet, H175 and ACH160 helicopters, C295 maritime patrol aircraft, and the Zephyr solar-powered unmanned aerial system.
Airbus & The Malaysian Market
Airbus acknowledges its success in the Malaysian market across its commercial and military aircraft, space, and helicopter lineups. “Customers in Malaysia have ordered more than 700 commercial airliners and over 100 helicopters, and the RMAF is the first export customer for the A400M airlifter,” Airbus says. “Airbus is also the biggest partner for Malaysia’s aerospace industry, with suppliers in the country producing major aircraft parts across the Airbus product line.”
