Dassault To Feature Falcon Business Jets For Asia-Pacific Region Customers At ABACE 2019
Dassault Aviation is set to showcase its ultra-long-range flagship Falcon 8X tri-jet and Falcon 7X sibling at the upcoming ABACE (Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition) running April 16 to 18 in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. Additionally, Dassault will promote its upcoming Falcon 6X twin-jet business model.
A Hot Market
Dassault, which also manufactures the 900LX tri-jet and Falcon 2000LX and 2000S twin-jet models, describes China as “one of the hottest markets” for the 8X and 7X. Of 50-plus Falcon aircraft now operating in China, those models make up 80%, Dassault says. Eric Trappier, Dassault Aviation CEO and chairman, says Chinese customers appreciate the 8X and 7X’s “unparalleled safety, state-of-the-art technology, and cabin comfort—particularly the smooth, quiet flight and seamless in-flight connectivity.”
Those are qualities the ultra-wide-body 6X, set to enter service in 2022, will also provide, says Trappier, who adds that “with the Asia-Pacific market showing signs of expansion and China's Belt and Road Initiative underway, we have an increasingly optimistic outlook for the years ahead." Elsewhere, Dassault points out the versatility of Falcon aircraft to serve in multiple roles, including maritime patrol, air ambulance, and government VIP functions. Eight countries in the Asia-
Pacific region operate Falcons in such roles, including many based on the Falcon 2000 family, Dassault says.
Seminar Scheduled
Also at ABACE, Dassault will once again stage a Falcon Maintenance & Operations seminar. This year’s seminar is set for April 17 and will concentrate on technical issues that Asia-Pacific customers encounter and how Falcon operators can improve their operational efficiency, reliability, and safety.
