Gulfstream’s G650ER & G500 Business Jets Vying For International Design Awards
When The International Yacht & Aviation Awards are announced on May 24 at the Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Italy, Gulfstream Aerospace’s G650ER and G500 business jets will be among the aircraft up for awards. Specifically, the G650ER is nominated for the Private Jet Design award, and the G500 is nominated for the Private Jet Design Concept award. Design et al, an interior design magazine, and Luxe et al, a yacht and aviation design magazine, are hosting the awards, which recognize the “best in design from across the globe.”
More Of The Same?
Gulfstream is no stranger to The International Yacht & Aviation Awards. The company’s G600 business jet won the Private Jet Design award last year, while Gulfstream’s flagship G650ER won the same honor in 2017. The G500 and G600 business jets, meanwhile, picked up awards in the Product category last year.
Gulfstream says the Serenity and Style interior of its 19-passenger G650ER that is up for this year’s Private Jet Design award “reflects Gulfstream’s more than 60-year heritage of marrying excellent design with technology.” The G500’s Velocity concept, in the running for the Private Jet Design Concept award, “translates the speed of life on the ground to the near-supersonic Gulfstream speed in the skies,” Gulfstream says.
