Quest Aircraft Completes Deal With Dimor Aerospace For Three Kodiak 100 Series II Turbine Aircraft

    Posted On: July 24, 2019

Quest Aircraft recently announced that customer Dimor Aerospace has taken delivery of three Quest Aircraft Kodiak 100 Series II single-engine turbine planes it will use for humanitarian missions. Two of the models include Aerocet floats. (Photo courtesy of Quest Aircraft.)

Quest Aircraft, manufacturer of the Kodiak 100 Series II single-engine turbine airplane, made several announcements at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 trade show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in late July, including that Dimor Aerospace has purchased three Kodiaks that it will equip for humanitarian missions in Brazil. Two of the Kodiaks will be equipped with Aerocet 6650 composite floats. Quest Aircraft has already delivered the planes, and indicates the companies are in discussion for additional sales.

    “Excellent Customer Service”

Established in 2018, Dimor Aerospace is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, along with the Dimor Group; the company acquired custom biplane maker Waco Aircraft and Centennial Aircraft Services last year, leases aircraft to charter operators, and provides maintenance and repair services. In addition to Kodiaks, the Dimor Aerospace fleet includes Embraer Phenom, Pilatus, and Cessna aircraft. Quest Aircraft, meanwhile, announced in June that France-based Daher will acquire it before year’s end upon approval from U.S. and French authorities.

The Kodiak acquisition enrolls Dimor in Quest Aircraft’s 2018-launched KodiakCare customer service program that provides a standard two-year warranty, 24/7/365 access to AOG (aircraft on ground) Response teams, and other services. Dimor CEO Sven Lepschy says Dimor selected Quest Aircraft for the companies’ similar business approaches, among other reasons. “At Dimor, excellent customer service that goes above and beyond expectations is paramount,” he says. “We’ve experienced exactly that with Quest, and the refreshingly positive attitude in their leadership reflects down to each and every employee we’ve worked with.”

    Other Quest Announcements

Elsewhere, Quest Aircraft also announced that beginning with its 275th Kodiak aircraft due for completion in September, it will equip future Kodiaks with the latest Garmin GMA 1360 Audio Panel with integrated Bluetooth connectivity. Quest also announced it has effectively eliminated the MZFW (maximum zero fuel weight) limitation in Kodiaks, thus providing operators increased payload, enhanced mission capability, and greater operator flexibility, particularly during shorter flights. That change impacts all Kodiak models past and present.
