Bombardier Exhibiting Global 7000 Business Jet Mockup At Jetex FBO Terminal In Dubai
Global transportation manufacturer Bombardier is bringing a full-sized mockup of its ultra-long-range Global 7000 aircraft to the Middle East for an exhibition at the Jetex Private Terminal in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Bombardier, which also offers Learjet and Challenger business aircraft for sale, is expected to enter the Global 7000 into service this year. The Global 7000 is billed as “the world’s largest purpose-built business jet.”

Hello, Middle East
Bombardier provided its first peek at the roughly 105-foot-long (32 meters) Global 7000 in 2014 at the European Business Aviation and Exhibition in Geneva. The aircraft’s journey to Jetex’s Private Terminal in Dubai, where it will be on exhibit from January 11 through February 3, marks the aircraft’s maiden journey to the Middle East. Jetex is global operator of fixed base operators (FBOs) and ground support stations in 30-plus countries and includes owners and operators of business jets for corporate, commercial, and personal air travel as clients.
In a statement, Khader Mattar, vice president, sales, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific & China, Bombardier Business Aircraft, said the Middle East region “represents a huge growth opportunity for aircraft manufacturing.” Exhibiting the mockup in Dubai will enable potential customers to “discover why the Global 7000 aircraft offers the smoothest ride and is the perfect home away from home,” he said.
Inside The 7000
With a top speed of Mach 0.925, a 7,400-nautical mile (13,705-kilometer) range, and an ability to seat 19 passengers, the Global 7000 represents Bombardier’s attempt to redefine the business aircraft experience. Notably, that includes providing four distinct living spaces within the aircraft, as well as full kitchen and dedicated suite for crew. Overall, the aircraft’s cabin measures 6.3 feet (1.9 meters) high, 8.2 feet (2.5 meters) wide, and stretches 54.7 feet (16.7 meters). Elsewhere, the aircraft will include Bombardier Vision flight deck, support streaming HD content, and provide the “aviation’s fastest in-flight connectivity” via Ka-Band connectivity.
In Dubai, visitors can walk through the mockup’s entire cabin to view the dining area, entertainment lounge, master bedroom, private washroom, and more. Notably, owners will be able to customize the Global 7000’s interior to their personal tastes.
In a release, Adel Mardini, Jetex CEO and president, said the Dubai-located Jetex FBO terminal is “an ideal venue for the regional debut of this incredible triumph of engineering. Our facility is among the largest of its kind worldwide and delivers unprecedented levels of luxury, comfort, and dependability to the same clientele who will ultimately own this wonderful aircraft."
