Dassault Aviation showcased its Falcon 8X trijet and a modernized version of its Falcon 900LX triject at the Russian Business Aviation Exhibit in Moscow in mid-September. In addition to showcasing its Falcon 8X ultra-long-range trijet and a modernized version of its Falcon 900LX trijet, Dassault Aviation detailed its upcoming Falcon 6X ultra-wide-body twin jet at the RUBAE (Russian Business Aviation Exhibit) Sept. 12-14 in Moscow. The 6X, set to first fly in 2021 and begin deliveries in 2022, will support direct flights from Moscow to New York City or Singapore at Mach 0.85, according to Dassault.

    The Russian Sector

Gilles Gautier, Dassault Aviation vice president, Falcon sales, said Dassault has enjoyed solid Falcon sales in Russia, particularly for trijet models. Dassault expects the 8X to sell comparably to its trijet Falcon 7X in the region and expects “strong demand” for the Falcon 6X, “the most modern, spacious, and versatile twin in its class.” Gautier added that twin-jet Falcon 2000 models are “already proving popular with Russian operators,” including for their short-field capabilities.

Broadly, Dassault says it has “significantly reinforced and expanded” its regional services network in Russia recently, including by establishing a new stock of spare parts near its Falcon Services satellite service center at the Vnukovo 3 business aviation complex to enhance distribution throughout the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Dassault Aviation says its Falcon 8X trijet has been serving in the Russian region for more than a year. The aircraft, which offers a range of 6,450 nautical miles (11,945 kilometers), can fly nonstop from Moscow to Los Angeles, Cape Town, or Darwin, or from Rio de Janeiro to Moscow, according to the manufacturer. The Falcons

In service in Russia for more than a year, the Falcon 8X has earned “universal praise for its exceptional combination of performance, efficiency, and its ultra-comfortable cabin—the quietest in business aviation," Dassault says. With a 6,450-nautical mile (11,945-kilometer) range, the 8X can fly from Moscow to Los Angeles, Cape Town, or Darwin, or from Rio de Janeiro to Moscow nonstop, per Dassault. The 8X can also land at restricted airports and is certified for Dassault’s FalconEye Combined Vision System, a HUD (head up display) that combines synthetic and enhanced vision abilities into one view. The modernized version of the Falcon 900LX (4,750-nautical-mile or 8,800-kilometer range) at RUBAE also offers FalconEye and FalconConnect options and a redesigned interior.

Dassault Aviation also produces the 2000LXS and 2000S twin jets. If you’re in the market for a Dassault jet, Controller.com has numerous pre-owned Dassault aircraft for sale.
