Gulfstream To Showcase Business Jets, Symmetry Flight Deck & More At EBACE 2019
Six aircraft currently make up Gulfstream Aerospace’s lineup of purpose-built business jets. The company will showcase all but one (the 19-passenger G600) at EBACE (European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition) 2019, which is set to take place from May 21 to 23 at the Palexpo convention center and the Geneva International Airport in Geneva, Switzerland. Gulfstream president Mark Burns says in addition to European customers long recognizing Gulfstream as providing “high-performing, technologically advanced aircraft,” Europe “continues to be a strong market” for the company.
Annually hosted jointly by the EBAA (European Business Aviation Association) and NBAA (National Business Aviation Association), EBACE brings together aviation manufacturers, flight department personnel, avionics firms, fractional providers, charter and lease companies, business leaders, and others in the business aviation sector.
Enter The Simulation
For its part, Gulfstream will showcase its flagship G650ER model, which supports a 7,500-nautical-mile (13,890-kilometer) range at Mach 0.85 and can connect Geneva to Singapore at Mach 0.90 and Geneva to Santiago at Mach 0.87. In addition, Gulfstream will have its newest aircraft, the clean-sheet 19-passenger G500 and G600 models, on hand. Those models feature Gulfstream’s Symmetry Flight Deck, billed as the “most technologically advanced flight deck in business aviation.” Gulfstream will notably have a simulated Symmetry Flight Deck flight experience available to attendees.
The Rest Of The Gang
Also at EBACE 2019, Gulfstream will display its G280, which seats up to 10 passengers, offers a maximum speed of Mach 0.85, and can connect Geneva to Dubai at Mach 0.84 via its 3,600-nautical-mile (6,667-kilometer) range at Mach 0.80. Among the G280’s 65 city-pair records is one set in 7 hours, 34 minutes while connecting Geneva to New York. Rounding out Gulfstream’s stable at EBACE 2019 is the G550, which serves both commercial and special mission functions and provides a maximum 6,750-nautical mile (12,501-kilometer) range that can connect Geneva to Tokyo at Mach 0.85.
