Bombardier Delivers 100th Challenger Aircraft To Fractional Aircraft Operator NetJets

    Posted On: September 27, 2019

Officials from Bombardier and NetJets recently celebrated the 100th delivery of a Bombardier Challenger jet to the fractional aircraft operator. The delivery, a Challenger 350 model, now puts NetJets’ fleet at 80 Challenger 350s and 20 Challenger 650s. (Photo courtesy of Bombardier.)

NetJets, one of the world’s largest fractional aircraft operators, now has 100 Bombardier Challenger business jets in its fleet. Bombardier announced the delivery of the super-midsize Challenger 350 in late September. The delivery leaves NetJets’ fleet with 80 Challenger 350 jets and 20 Challenger 650 jets. NetJets’ fleet also includes Cessna, Gulfstream, and Embraer light, midsize, super-midsize, and large cabin jets.

    A Class Leader

Bombardier claims the 10-passenger Challenger 350 is both the best-selling business jet platform of the last decade and the only super-midsize jet that can fly full range at full fuel and seat capacity. The Challenger 350 has a 3,200-nautical-mile (5,926-kilometer) flight range and a top speed of Mach 0.83. Launched in 2013, the jet was recently named the top aircraft in the super-midsize category for the second consecutive year in the Robb Report’s “Annual Best of The Best” honors.

The Challenger 650, meanwhile, has logged 5 million-plus flight hours and 1,000-plus deliveries. The 12-passenger jet has a 4,000-nautical mile (7,408-kilometer) flight range and a top speed of Mach 0.85. Billed as Bombardier’s best-selling large aircraft platform, the jet is also promoted as having the lowest direct operating costs in its class. Bombardier says that makes the Challenger 650 the “aircraft of choice among corporate flight departments and charter operators.”

    A Shared Desire

In noting Bombardier’s relationship with NetJets, David Coleal, Bombardier Aviation president, says the companies share a desire to “create an exceptional flight experience for customers.” The latest Challenger 350 delivery to NetJets, he says, shows how sought-after the aircraft is and “why it’s simply the best business jet in its class.”

You’ll find a wide selection of new and used Bombardier Challenger aircraft for sale every day on Controller.com, including Challenger 350 models, as well as a number of Bombardier Global business jets for sale.
