Textron Aviation entered its Beechcraft King Air 360 into service on November 12 in Wichita with launch partner Stamoules Produce Company on hand to take the first delivery of the new aircraft. The turboprop flagship features cockpit, cabin, and passenger comfort upgrades, and joins its extended range King Air 360ER sibling at top of the Beechcraft turboprop lineup. Textron Aviation Senior Vice President of Sales and Flight Operators Rob Scholl says the occasion began a new era for the popular turboprop family, adding that Stamoules Produce’s new King Air 360 will transform how the company does business.

    “Excited To Fly”

Stamoules Produce is a family-owned business in California’s San Joaquin Valley (referred to by some as the cantaloupe center of the world) specializing in fruit, vegetable, and nut production and harvesting. The King Air 360 is its first-ever aircraft purchase. Textron says Stamoules based its buying decision on the aircraft’s combination of performance, ease of operation, and passenger experience, all of which will help Stamoules expand its operations.

Stamoules corporate pilot Katie Stefanopoulos says her family’s company considered how the King Air 360’s performance and flexibility could help the company grow its business, factoring Textron’s trusted name and expertise into its decision.

“We were excited to learn of the new upgrades and features to an already exceptional aircraft, and I am even more excited to fly,” Stefanopoulos says.

The nine-passenger King Air 360 has an 1,806-nautical-mile (3,345-kilometer) maximum range, a top speed of 312 ktas (578 km/h), and a 35,000-foot (10,668-meter) maximum operating altitude. The plane’s max altitude is 10% lower than the King Air 350i’s; Textron says this translates to enhanced passenger comfort. The cabin includes new cabinetry, upgraded materials and finishes, and all-new interior schemes. An Innovative Solutions & Support ThrustSense Autothrottle feature, meanwhile, automatically manages engine power from takeoff roll through the various flight and landing phases to support pilots during critical missions.

You’ll find hundreds of new and used Beechcraft aircraft for sale every day on Controller.com, including turboprops like King Air 90s, 200s, and 350s.
