Bombardier & Elie Saab Unveil ‘Haute Couture’ Cabin Design For Global 8000 Business Jet
Bombardier and Lebanese fashion house Elie Saab have introduced a bespoke “haute couture of aviation” cabin design for the ultra-long-range Global 8000 business jet. Hailed as a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the design reflects a high-fashion sensibility and is available as an option for customers of the 19-seat aircraft. Bombardier unveiled the concept at its Aviator Lounge in Monaco during the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
An Elegant, Open Business Jet Cabin Design
Bombardier says the new offering creates an intimate yet open and highly personalized environment that “translates a refined way of living into the experience of private travel.” Key design elements include ample natural light, fluid architectural lines, expansive sightlines, and what the company describes as a “warm, harmonious palette.” The lounge area serves as the heart of the cabin, promoting “well-being, connection, and effortless comfort,” Bombardier says.
Founded in 1982, Elie Saab has created designs for Céline Dion, Beyoncé, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, and Taylor Swift. The company operates boutiques in Paris, London, Milan, and Dubai, among other cities. CEO Elie Saab Jr. says the collaboration with Bombardier introduces a fresh approach to private aviation.
“With Bombardier, we approached this collaboration with an haute couture mindset, elevating every material and detail into a carefully curated expression of luxury, precision, and design excellence,” says Saab Jr. “This project also reflects our desire to accompany our clients in their daily lives wherever they are, extending the Elie Saab universe into every moment of their journey. It is truly a new approach to private aviation, where travel becomes a seamless continuation of refined living.”
An Elevated Business Travel Experience
Bombardier and Elie Saab initially announced their collaboration on the Global 8000 in November 2025. Introduced in 2022, the aircraft entered service in December 2025. Bombardier says the jet is the fastest civilian aircraft since Concorde. It offers a range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 kilometers) and a class-leading cabin altitude of 2,691 feet (820 meters) when cruising at 41,000 ft (12,497 m).
“When we began discussions with Elie Saab, the Global 8000 was already well on the path to becoming a certified, operational aircraft,” says Bombardier President and CEO Éric Martel. “This allowed us to go beyond concepts and rethink the cabin as a true living space, while fully respecting the performance and operational realities of the aircraft. This collaboration pushes the boundaries of business aviation and reflects our relentless focus on elevating the customer experience.”
